I was joking about chopping it, was just saying that I personally don't value it more than any other double barrel, I bought it solely as an investment to make money. I posted pictures in the thread I linked to above(put it in the shotgun forum). I'll post pictures in a little while or the morning, have had a long week and an even longer day. Champion or something, decent shape, looks like it was cut down from a 28" or whatever because the rear sight doesn't look like it was installed all too well, so I assume it started life as a long barrel with just a bead. Like for coins there's the red book, is there a book/website I can look at that will give me a general range of what it's worth? I only got it to make money, to me it's just a normal shotgun and I'd just assume chop it to 18" and spray the furniture black, but I know there's some people who will pay a lot of money for these things.Īlso got a little.singe shot, 18" barrel with rifle sights. Before 5 hours ago, I had no interest in owning a double barrel gun so I don't know anything about A or B grade guns or anything, I had heard of Parker Bros shotguns before and knew that some/all are worth money and had a chance to get one for next to nothing so jumped on it. It looks like it's in pretty good shape, S/N is in the 233xxx range, very quick google search and I think its from '27 or '28. Long, very, very long story short I am now the owner of a Parker Bros double barrel shotgun.
